Commercial insurance encompasses all insurance designed to protect a business. Insurance companies provide a variety of policies that cover all types of businesses, big or small, and all manner of business activity.

Commercial insurance will often be taken out by businesses to ensure they are able to recover from unforeseen circumstances such as natural peril events, fire, theft, accidental damage, equipment breakdown, property damage, and third-party liability.
