Liability discussion groups are hosted in quarterly in Auckland.
The group discusses topical issues with brief presentations from a panel of expert speakers.
Previous topics have included
- cyber risks
- climate change liability
- autonomous vehicles
- de-risking construction contracts
- health and safety.
Registrations will be open on the Insurance Law Association (NZILA) website. ICNZ and NZILA members can attend for a small fee.

The next NZILA discussion group will be held on the 4th of March. At the first session for 2020 two speakers will discuss the current issues of Insurance complaints and what the future may hold. Susan Taylor - CEO, FSCL (Financial Services Complaints Ltd) will talk about dispute resolutions and what types of complaints they are seeing. The next speaker will talk on Quasi Judicial Complaints and the rise of complaints against professional bodies.(Speaker to be confirmed shortly)
